Just a reminder that the deadline for this is approaching.

A reminder that the that the re-election of the Association Officers will take place at the AGM in May. The positions are: Master, General Secretary, Treasurer, three Property Trustees, Technical Adviser, Education Officer, and Communications Officer. The election of Independent Examiners will also take place, these are non-trustee roles.

Very often in large Associations the same jobs end up being done by the same people. Although an element of continuity is good, it can also lead to complacency and lack of variation in decision making. Many of our members have skills which could be used to the benefit of the Association. For this reason, we strongly encourage people who have not taken office in the Association before to consider standing - full support will be provided to anyone taking on a role for the first time.

Although most of the current officers are standing for re-election, Beth Johnson has indicated she will not be standing for re-election. Therefore, we are actively seeking an Education Officer. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Beth for her contribution to the Essex Association.

We would also like to thank the current Association Officers for their contribution and continued support over the last year.

Nominations for Association Officers need to be made in writing to the General Secretary by 1 February 2025. The Association Officer Nomination forms are attached along with the required Charities Act Declaration form as these are trustee roles.
