It is with great sadness that we have to report that Mary Frost died earlier today in St Luke’s Hospice, Basildon, aged 62 years.

Mary has been a loyal member of the Basildon band after retiring from work a few years ago, a supporter of district events and helped at the Essex Jamboree last summer.  She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the end of last year.

We rang the passing bell for Mary at the end of our practice at Basildon Bell Tower this evening.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her partner Brian.
