Saturday 1st July Striking Competition

The arrangements for this year’s EACR Striking Competition Finals are as follows:

6 Bell Competition

This will be held at St Osyth, St. Peter and St. Paul (6 bells, 10-2-15 in G) The postcode is CO16 8QW

Free Parking is available on ‘The Bury’, map available on request.

The draw will be at 11:00 am

Tea/coffee squash and biscuits will be available from 10.30.

The club opposite the church will be open from 12midday for any bell ringer, serving alcoholic drinks.

Tea will be served at the Church during the afternoon from 1.30pm. The cost for the tea will be £5. (If anyone wants fish and chips it can be ordered in advance, payable on the day, contact Helen for a menu).

Names for tea to Helen Bridgman ( ne-district-secretary@eacr.org.uk) by 24 June at the very latest.

The results of the 6 Bell competition will also be announced at tea.

8 Bell Competition

The test piece will be 272 Plain Bob Major (attached).

This will be held at Ardleigh, St Mary the Virgin (8 bells, 13-1-2 in F#) and the postcode is CO7 7LE

The draw will be at 3:30 pm.

This year we’re introducing a new award called the Ringers’ Award. Everyone coming to the competition is encouraged to listen to the ringing, to support each other, and to nominate the band that they would like to win. The band with the highest number of votes will win this award.

We look forward to seeing all the teams entering.
