Thank you
Dear all
Just a quick note to say a big thank you to those who contributed to my "retirement" gift as I stood down as General Secretary at yesterday's Annual General Meeting. For those that couldn't see at the back, I received a bottle of champagne, a pair of glass champagne flutes and an extremely generous gift voucher for John Lewis / Waitrose. Although Chelmsford's branches of John Lewis and Waitrose are still in the process of being built, I'm sure that won't stop me from going on a shopping trip! A massive thanks to the Hornchurch ringers too who sent a separate gift voucher. More shopping!!!
I will now take up my new role as Central Council Rep and join the team representing the Association at Council and share information, news and ideas with you.
As those of you that were at the AGM know, I am succeeded by Dr Rhona McEune, who introduced herself and her impressive credentials. There will be a short interlude whilst I finish up the AGM Minutes and Actions, then box everything up and hand over to Rhona in the coming few weeks. We will let you all know when handover has been completed and Rhona has taken over for real.
I wish her luck in the role, which I am sure she will fulfil very well, and urge you all to continue to support her and the other Association and District Officers.
Best wishes
Vicki Chapman
