Essex Retains 10-bell Trophy
The 37th Essex Trophy 10-bell competition was held at Writtle on Saturday 10th September 2016.
The Essex Association won for the second year running, and for the 5th time in the competition's 38 year history.
Five teams entered, from Essex, Guildford, Kent, Surrey and Sussex, ringing a touch of 287 Grandsire Caters judged by Alan Winter and Paul Seaman from the Ely Diocesan Association, with the following results:

The day was hosted by the Writtle ringers and friends led by Andrew and Christina Brewster, providing very welcome refreshments (tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes plus two real ales!). A live feed from the belfry, so that visitors could see the bells in action, was provided by Andy Henderson.
