As you know, we are fast approaching the 300th anniversary of the first recorded peal. We have commissioned a piece for the Church Times by ringer Prudence Fay, which is to be published this Friday, 1 May. I have also recorded an interview with BBC Radio 4's Sunday Programme (Sundays, 7.10 am) which might possibly be broadcast this Sunday as well. We are hoping that these one or two pieces of national publicity will generate further interest in this topic so please either stand by to receive media enquiries or better still issue your own press releases identifying what you are doing locally to celebrate.
