The Essex Association of Change Ringers   President: The Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford

On Saturday 12th September the Annual Essex Trophy 10 bell striking competition took place at St Nicholas, Guildford. Essex were drawn to ring last (again!) so had to stay away from the beer and wait a little longer to partake of the ringers tea on offer. We did get to enjoy the glorious sunshine and listen to the opposition though. The test piece was a plain course of Pudsey Surprise Royal. The judges were Lucy and David Woodward who placed the teams in the following order:

Representing Essex were: Vicki Chapman, Heather Rayner, Anne Bray, Paul Cammiade, John Taylor, John Harpole, Paul Bray, Brian Meads, Colin Chapman (c) and Matthew Rayner.

Next year's competition will be on home territory in Essex.
