The Essex Association of Change Ringers   President: The Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford

Association Chaplain — Revd Ian Jorysz

We must say farewell to our Chaplain Revd Ian Jorysz as he has been appointed as Senior Chaplain to the Bishop of Manchester, and will be moving north in late May: his last Sunday at St Peter's, South Weald will be 24th May. After 19 years here, it is with very mixed emotions that he and wife Maria be leaving although he is much looking forward to his new role.

On behalf of the Association, congratulations to Ian and we wish him well in his new role however, one consequence of the move is that will no longer be chaplain of the EACR. He says that he is happy to continue in that (onerous!) role until they leave, but we do need to search for a new Chaplain.

Ian will be joining us at the AGM on 4th May at Chelmsford Cathedral and it would be only fitting that we send him off appropriately. If you would like to contribute to a gift, either individually or as a tower, please send donations to the Association Treasurer, Andrew Brewster, address in the report or on the website, clearly marked "Chaplain" to be received no later than 20th April 2015, cheques payable to EACR or cash directly to Andrew.

Also, if you know of any candidates worth approaching about becoming our Chaplain, please review the role description and let me know.

Vicki Chapman
General Secretary
