Ridgman Trophy 2014

On Saturday 7th June Essex played host to the Ridgman Trophy 10 bell competition at Coggeshall. Despite a thorough downpour in the morning, the weather cleared up so that ringers from all over the eastern counties were able to enjoy the sunshine whilst listening to the ringing.

The test piece was 264 Stedman Caters and the judges were Mark and Alan Ainsworth. The results were:

A huge thank you to the Coggeshall ringers for providing refreshments all day including ploughman's lunches and to the towers of Kelvedon, Inworth and Great Tey for opening up for general ringing during the afternoon.

Next year's competition will be held on 6th June and will be hosted by either Norwich or Ely.
