Dear Essex Association of Change Ringers,

It is with sadness I write to inform you that one of your past association chaplains has passed away. Anthony James Abbey (1936-2014) had been in a nursing home since January 2013 having suffered from a stroke. He died early on Tuesday 8 April 2014 at Worcester Royal Hospital having suffered a second stroke the previous Thursday. The funeral will take place on Friday 25 April at All Saints Church, Evesham at 12 noon.

Anthony leaves his wife & son, Mary & Philip, in good spirits, with three grandchildren to distract them having been released from this world. I attach the notice from the Evesham Journal on 17 April. A notice will appear in the Church Times published this Friday 25th.
