The Essex Association of Change Ringers   President: The Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford

The 60th Annual Essex Dinner is now less than 4 weeks away and time is running out to book your place! If you are thinking of joining those who have already booked, either as an individual, a couple or a table of eight, then now is the time to act. Please check with your fellow tower members at your practices or Service ringing this week.

The cost of the Dinner is £34 - I hope you will appreciate that this represents excellent value for money. The evening will take the normal format, gathering at 6.45 for 7.30pm with time to socialise before the meal and speeches. There is time for further socialising afterwards.

To help with the organising it would be very much appreciated if you could book and pay for your tickets at the very earliest opportunity.

The speakers this year are Rosalind and Tim Martin from Dorset and the Very Revd Nicholas Henshall, Dean of Chelmsford Cathedral. Ros is a ringer and a ringing tweeter and blogger. She is also PRO, Webmaster, and a Central Council representative for the Winchester & Portsmouth Guild where she was elected to the Public Relations Committee. She has some interesting views on ringing, recruiting and retention, communication and use of social media amongst ringers. Tim is Tower Captain at Christchurch Priory. This will also be the first opportunity to hear the new Master, John Harpole. All in all it promises to be a very interesting evening.
