The Essex Association of Change Ringers   President: The Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford

The second Ringing World National Youth Contest was held in Birmingham on 30th June. Twelve teams entered the Call Change category. Essex had two teams enter the Call Change category, one from the South Eastern District (Essex Young Eagles) and one from the Northern District (Jammy Dodgers). Our teams were placed equal third (with 5 other teams) with a Grade B and equal fourth with a Grade C. The judges were: Simon Linford (Chief), Jonathan Agg, Heather Forster and Louis Suggett. Congratulations to all the young ringers who took part, who were all presented with medals, and especially to Christina Brewster and Roy Threadgold for co-ordinating their respective teams.
