The bells at St Nicholas, Harwich will be out of action for a period of 6-8 weeks from w/c Monday 1st October, while extensive refurbishment is carried out to bells 3, 4, 7 and Tenor and strengthening work is carried out on the bell frame. The band will be practicing at alternative towers during this time. It is hoped that the refurbished components will be reinstated during w/c Monday 12th November and the bells available for ringing again shortly afterwards.
