The Essex Association of Change Ringers   President: The Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford

This year's Essex Trophy 10 bell striking competition took place on Saturday 8th September at Southover, East Sussex. Despite the judges (and some of our band) arriving late because of traffic hold ups, a relaxed afternoon in the glorious sunshine was in order.

Only four teams entered this year, others pulling out at the last minute for various reasons. The test piece was 315 Stedman Caters judged by Alan Ainsworth (St Paul's Cathedral) and his son Mark. The results were:

1st	Kent	55 faults
2nd	Sussex	71 faults
3rd	Essex	103 faults
4th	Guildford	111 faults

Essex was represented by: Colin Wright, Hilary Donoghue, Heather Rayner, Katrina Bond, Matthew Rayner, John Armstrong, Colin Chapman (c), Nigel Taylor, Brian Meads and John Hall.
