The Essex Association of Change Ringers   President: The Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford

This year's Essex Trophy 10 bell striking competition was held at St Peter's church, St Albans on 10th September. The test piece was a plain course of London No. 3 Surprise Royal, being marked from the 5th lead when the tenor becomes 2nds place bell. The judges were John and Cathy Hughes-D'Aeth who gave the results as follows:

Although the placing was disappointing our ringing was described as "setting a good compass with some nice roll-ups with good leading. Only a few small trips before the major scuffle in the last lead".

Next year's competition will be hosted by the Sussex County Association.
