The Essex Association of Change Ringers   President: The Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Chelmsford

Following the recent sad passing of Mrs Marian Wood, her family have asked that we circulate the following information:

The funeral for Marian will be held on Friday 3rd May, 12 noon at St. Mary the Virgin church, Great Bardfield, CM7 4RN. Parking is available in the surrounding streets or in a small car-park next to the playing field (CM7 4RR). Refreshments will be served after the service at the Vine Public House, Great Bardfield.

Following the service, Marian will be buried in a private family ceremony at St. Katherine's church, Little Bardfield.

Marian's only ringing request for the day is that we ring the bells open and make a joyous noise. Therefore, the ringing arrangements are as follows:

• Before the funeral service: there will be a short piece of ringing by an invited band.
• After the funeral service: there will be an hour of open ringing. All ringers are welcome to join in this collective celebration of Marian's ringing life.

Marian's family are hoping that many ringing friends will join them on 3rd May. So that the family can gauge numbers, please RSVP to bardfieldbellringers@gmail.com if you are attending (particularly if you are staying for the refreshments).
